Sunny Days

After almost a month of days of endless gray, the sun peeked out through the clouds yesterday. I’d forgotten how bright and warm even winter days can be when the sun is shining.

I stood by the window, eyes closed, and soaked up the rays for the few minutes that it shone. Such joy!

And captured the brilliance on the sun-kissed blossoms of my bougainvillea.

Winter’s Touch

So far, this has been the winter that never was. We’ve had snowfalls, but then mild temperatures and heavy rain have taken it all away. While I’m not a big fan of cold weather, I do enjoy the beauty of snow blanketing the earth, nestled in the crook of a tree and gently tumbling from the clouds.

In my morning walk, I found this protected corner of winter, and wanted to share it with you.

Isn’t it beautiful? And peaceful.

Tuesday’s Joy

I find it’s the simple pleasures that bring me the greatest joy. Today, for example, it’s snowing and blowing outside. Quite pretty actually…if you don’t have to walk or drive in it.

So today’s joy is being inside, warm and cosy, looking out at the beauty of the falling snow.
